GTA Filters

Industrial Pocket Filters

The Product

Fine dust filtration with minimal footprint. Cost-effective design. Dual-stage filtering for maximum efficiency on multiple combined pollutants.

GTA series industrial filters are a cutting-edge solution whenever filtration of two different types of pollutants is required, such as dry dust or fumes combined with oily mists or vapors.

GTA filters consist of a galvanized steel frame that houses two separate filtering sections:

  • Pre-filter with filter cell with G2 class metal vest.
  • Rigid pocket filter, fully flameproof, class F6.

The two filter sections are connected using metal spacers ensuring a perfect seal. Dust and fume retention is ensured by the quality of the materials used.

The GTA series, made from thick galvanized sheet metal, can be built as compact small-scale units or as larger modular systems.

The choice of filter configuration depends on the type of pollutant generated by the process, the volume of contaminants over time, and the concentration of substances to be retained in the air stream.

GTA filters are vertically oriented. The structure is made of thick galvanized steel, press-folded and welded at the joints, bolted together, and equipped with flanges for duct connection and sturdy base supports for floor installation.

These filters are designed to operate under negative pressure (vacuum conditions).

The GTA series is available in standard models with airflow capacities ranging from 2,000 m³/h up to 48,000 m³/h.

Operation

Thanks to the vacuum created by the centrifugal fan, polluted air enters the filter from the rear panel and passes through the vertical settling chamber, where initial particle separation occurs via the pre-filter.

After passing through the pre-filter, the air enters the pocket filter, consisting of a series of deep pockets mechanically spaced apart.

The large surface area of the filter media significantly reduces the face velocity, resulting in very low actual airspeed through the filter.

This allows the filter to achieve very high separation efficiency. Separated oil particles fall into the hopper and are then directed to the collection bin and/or drainage siphon.

Once filtered, the air is directed to the outlet and either discharged outdoors or reintroduced into the environment.

Installation

GTA series filter are generally installed outside the building and then connected to the capture areas (work areas) by rigid galvanized zinc pipes. The work areas can be:

  • Work benches
  • Flexible extractions arms
  • Fixed extraction hoods
  • Localized extraction points in general;
  • Tooling machines

The filter is then connected via the rigid galvanized zinc piping to the electro-ventilator to achieve passive resistance.
The air is then relaeased according to the norms currently in force.
